Latest Travel Update!
Nepal Travel Protocols March 2022, after two years of the horrific pandemic, Nepal is now fully open for tourism. The gorgeous mountains of Nepal have been waiting to welcome you for two years. Now, it’s time to plan a rejuvenating journey with your loved ones.
New death rates are almost 0, and new cases. Certainly, the Nepal government has removed most COVID protocols for tourists, which is good news for travelers and tourism entrepreneurs.
Quarantine
Quarantine is no longer required for both vaccinated and non-vaccinated tourists.
On arrival visa
Visa-on-arrival has been resumed as usual for both vaccinated and non-vaccinated tourists, i.e., as it was before the pandemic, which means that holders of passports of those countries that are eligible for visa-on-arrival will be able to avail themselves of that facility.
Fully vaccinated travelers should carry a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 to obtain an arrival visa. No more COVID tests are required for fully vaccinated tourists.
For those travelers, who are not being fully vaccinated, or have not completed a full dose of vaccination at least 14 days before arriving in Nepal, the COVID-19 test report (RT-PCR, Gene Expert, True NAAT, or WHO accredited test) shows negative results within the last 72 hours of boarding from the first airport or if you are entering through the land border, done within 72 hours of entry.
CCMC online form
Both vaccinated and non-vaccinated travelers should bring a printed copy of the online CCMC form (Crisis Management Centre), which can be filled out by logging in and clicking here.
