Traveller’s Review

We completed the 14 Day Everest Base Camp Trek with Glorious Himalaya in May 2025, and I could not have asked for a better experience.

Ganesh (the tour operator) was incredibly responsive and helpful from the very beginning. He promptly answered all our questions and ensured every detail of the trip was organized flawlessly.

Ganesh, our tour guide, was caring, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. He thoroughly prepared us for each day, and prioritized our safety and well-being. His familiarity with the Everest region and his professionalism were evident throughout the entire trip, which contributed to a smooth and enriching experience.

This was a phenomenal trekking experience, leaving me with memories to last a lifetime. I would highly recommend Glorious Himalaya to anyone interested in such an experience.

Our group of four (a mix of family and friends – older and young) did the 14 day EBC trek. It was the trip of a lifetime! We were well taken care from start to finish.

Although we were a group of four, each of us had slightly different needs that were all addressed, allowing for a seamless experience. For example, many of us had different arrival/departure times and days which the owner – Ganesh made sure hotel reservations and airport transfers were covered.

Our personable guide Ganesh (not the owner) and porter Suraj truly had our backs. Through their guidance and support, we successfully completed the trek while taking in the stunning landscape and the local culture.

I highly recommend Glorious Himalaya Trekking and hope to return one day to Nepal for another trek.

Trip FAQs

When is the best time to join a fixed departure for the Everest Base Camp trek?

The best months are March to May (spring season) and September to November (autumn season) when the weather is stable, skies are clear, and mountain views are at their best. Most fixed departures are scheduled during these peak trekking seasons.

How large is the group size for a fixed departure EBC trek?

Group sizes typically range from minimum 2 to maximum of 8 trekkers. We will form a small group – maximum of 8 trekkers for more personalized attention and best services.

What happens if the Lukla flight is delayed or canceled?

Due to unpredictable mountain weather, Lukla flights are often delayed or canceled. If your Lukla flights cancelled, we will shortly arrange the next available flight or offer a helicopter flight at an additional cost.

Hence, it’s advised to keep at least one or two buffer days in your EBC Trek itinerary post-trek.

Is prior trekking experience required to join a fixed departure EBC trek?

No, prior trekking experiences aren’t mandatory to join our fixed departure trek. But you should be physically and mentally fit. And also you should have proper training beforehand. Trekking at altitudes above 5,000 meters (Everest Base Camp is at 5,364m) requires mental preparedness and gradual acclimatization.

What happens if I can't keep up with the group pace on an Everest Base Camp group trek?

If you are unable to follow the pace with your group, it’s usually not a problem. Our guide will take care of you and adjust the walking speed with other members to ensuring no one is left behind.

If necessary, our guide will divide your group into slower and faster walkers, with a porter accompanying those at a gentler pace. The daily trekking schedule is typically flexible enough to accommodate minor differences in pace, and your safety and comfort will always be the top priority.
