Best time to go

The best season to go on the Kanchenjunga North Base Camp Trek in Nepal is during the autumn months of September to November and the spring months of March to May. During these seasons, the weather is generally stable with clear skies and mild temperatures, offering optimal conditions for trekking. The trails are also adorned with blooming rhododendrons and other wildflowers, enhancing the scenic beauty of the route.

Additionally, wildlife sightings are more frequent during these times, adding to the allure of the trek. It’s important to avoid the monsoon season (June to August) due to heavy rainfall, which can lead to slippery trails and obstructed mountain views, while the winter months (December to February) bring cold temperatures and potential snowfall, making trekking more challenging.

Traveller’s Review

We recently completed the Kanchenjunga North Base Camp trek with Glorious Himalaya, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Ram, was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive throughout the journey, ensuring our safety and comfort every step of the way.

When my wife experienced symptoms of high-altitude sickness before reaching Khambachen, our guide Ram’s expertise helped us navigate the situation smoothly. With an extra rest day added at Khambachen, she recovered fully, thanks to Ram’s attentive care.

Additionally, our porter, Rabin, was very helpful in making our trek enjoyable by carrying our belongings and always greeted us with a warm smile.

Overall, we are immensely grateful to Glorious Himalaya, Ram, and Rabin for facilitating such a memorable and rewarding adventure in the stunning Himalayas.
