Our 10 days Short Annapurna Circuit Trek is a fantastic option for those seeking a taste of the world-famous Annapurna Circuit within a limited timeframe. It offers a blend of cultural encounters, natural beauty, and a sense of accomplishment as you explore the enchanting landscapes of Nepal’s Himalayas. This unforgettable journey promises memories that will last a lifetime and leave you yearning to return to this mesmerizing region for more adventures in the future.
The Short Annapurna Circuit Trek is a breathtaking adventure that takes trekkers through some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in Nepal. Stretching around the Annapurna Massif, this iconic trek offers a diverse range of experiences, from lush forests and terraced fields to high mountain passes and dramatic snow-capped peaks. While the full circuit is an extensive and challenging journey, a shorter version is becoming increasingly popular for those with limited time or physical capabilities.
Our Short Annapurna Circuit Trek usually starts from Chame via Besishar and goes up to Muktinath then drives along the Kali Gandaki gorge. Although it covers only a portion of the complete circuit, this shorter version still provides a fantastic opportunity to experience the Annapurna region’s natural beauty and cultural richness.
The trek begins in the lower altitudes, where the terrain is more forgiving and the climate is milder. As you walk through charming villages and cultivated farmlands, you’ll have a chance to observe the daily lives of the local communities. The region is predominantly inhabited by Gurung and Thakali people, known for their warm hospitality and vibrant cultural traditions. Along the way, tea houses and guesthouses provide comfortable accommodations and delicious Nepali cuisine, making it an enjoyable journey for trekkers of all backgrounds.
As the trail ascends, the scenery gradually changes, and you’ll find yourself surrounded by dense rhododendron forests and cascading waterfalls. During the spring season, these forests come alive with a riot of colorful blossoms, creating a spectacular visual display. The trek also offers glimpses of the snow-capped peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, teasing you with what lies ahead.
One of the highlights of the Short Annapurna Circuit Trek is the visit to Manang and cross Throng La- 5,416 meters. This beautiful village is situated at an altitude of around 3,500 meters and is the gateway to Thorong La Pass, a famous high-altitude mountain pass that lies at an elevation of 5,416 meters. Thorong La is the highest point of the complete Annapurna Circuit and offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.
Despite its relatively shorter duration, the trek still offers ample opportunities for acclimatization. Taking sufficient time to acclimatize is essential when trekking at high altitudes to prevent altitude sickness and ensure a safe and enjoyable journey. Trekkers can take rest days in Manang and explore nearby places, such as Gangapurna Lake and Braga Monastery, to immerse themselves further in the local culture and natural beauty.
While the Short Annapurna Circuit Trek might not cover the entirety of the classic route, it remains a rewarding experience that showcases the best of the Annapurna conservation area. The trek’s diversity, from the lowlands to the high mountains, ensures that every day brings new adventures and breathtaking scenery. Whether you are an experienced trekker or a novice, this trek can be tailored to your abilities and interests, making it accessible to a wide range of travelers.
We have another longer version 14 Days Annapurna Circuit Trek that covers the entire classic Annapurna round route

Well organised Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal.
Everything was organised, including airport pick-up, hotel on the first night, booking of transportation from Kathmandu to the start of the trek, booking of tea houses to stay in during the trek and meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). I was also provided with a kit list ahead of the trip which made it easier to pack for the trek and ensure I had everything I needed for the trek
The guide (Ganesh) has done the trek 10 times already so was able to lead the way and adjust the pace to my walking speed. He also pointed out well know peaks/mountains along the way and answered questions about local Nepali customs and also about animals etc in the area.
I would definitely recommend the Annapurna trek.
