06 DAY

Acclimatization day in Phu (4080 m)

It is advisable to allocate a day for acclimatization in Phu. Utilize this time to wander through the narrow alleys of the town or embark on a hike to the Himlung Himal base camp. Phu itself is a fascinating village, and spending a day engaging with the locals as they skillfully spin yak and sheep wool, grind mustard seeds into oil paste, and carry out their daily tasks is a rewarding experience.

For those seeking an additional challenge, the trek to the Himlung Himal base camp involves navigating through a glacial valley. This 7,125 m. peak, recently opened for climbing, offers a spectacular ascent. En route, witness herds of blue sheep adeptly maneuvering the steep cliffs. The return journey typically takes about four to five hours, providing both a physical challenge and an opportunity to soak in the mesmerizing surroundings.

07 DAY

Trek from Phu to Nar Phedi (3490 m) - 6 hrs trek

Commencing from Phu village, our route retraces the familiar trail, descending along the banks of the Phu river. Following the same path towards Nar Phedi, we traverse through Kyang, Chyako, and Junam Goth before arriving at Nar Phedi. This route offers a relatively gentle descent, ensuring a comfortable and leisurely trekking experience.

Alternatively, for those seeking a more challenging adventure, the option is to take the demanding trekking path via Phu and Nar pass to reach Nar village. We will overnight stay at Nar Phedi.

08 DAY

Trek from Nar Phedi to Nar (4110 m) - 3 hrs trek

The trek from Nar Phedi to Nar Village continues the adventure through the mesmerizing landscapes of the Annapurna region in Nepal. Starting from Nar Phedi, situated at the confluence of the Labse and Phu rivers, the trail ascends, leading you back towards the charming Nar Village.

The journey involves traversing through the picturesque terrain, passing Buddhist stupas, and immersing yourself in the unique cultural atmosphere of the region. As you ascend, you may encounter splendid views of the surrounding peaks, adding to the allure of the trek.

Nar Village, with its traditional architecture and warm hospitality, welcomes trekkers as they return. The village offers a chance to explore its Buddhist monasteries, interact with the locals, and enjoy the serene ambiance of this high-altitude settlement.

09 DAY

Trek from Nar to Ngawal (3,600 m) via the Kang La Pass (5,240m) - 8/9 hrs trek

Today is the most important as well as a challenging day of our journey. Our hike ascent unfolds along the lateral moraine of Temdenzon Khola, tracing a delightful path through yak pastures. This scenic route treats trekkers to mesmerizing vistas of the west ridge of Pisang Peak. Continuing onwards, the journey leads to Jhombu Kharka, also known as Kang la Phedi – the base of Kang La Pass.

Ascending gradually from Kang La Phedi, the trail becomes steeper as we approach Kang La Pass. This high-altitude pass presents a rigorous ascent, but the panoramic views from the top, including the Annapurna II, Gandapurna, and Tilicho Peaks, are truly breathtaking.

The pass marks the transition from Nar to Ngawal, and the descent on the other side reveals a different facet of the region’s beauty. Descending from the pass, the trek continues for approximately three hours, culminating in the picturesque Ngawal Village, where we spend a night.

10 DAY

Trek from Ngawal to Pisang and drive to Besisahar (800 m) - 3/4 hrs trek
