We just completed Everest Base Camp Trek with Guide Dilman from Glorious Himalaya Company. It was our second trip to Nepal with the same company after last year’s Annapurna circuit trek.
The trail of Everest base camp was not crowded as we trekked in the December 2022, winter season. We can’t explain the beauty of the Everest region in words although it was cold but worth it for the trekkers.
The weather was in our favor during the 12-day EBC trek. We had stunning views of mountains and sunrise from Kalapather and the teahouses were almost empty due to the off-season. We stayed overnight at Diboche instead of Tengboche after Namche bazar. We spent 2 extra nights at Namche bazar and Dingboche for acclimatization. On this trek, we found a tricky and bit difficult day from Lobuche to Gorakshep due to its high altitude and long-distance hike.
We are thankful to GHT team and glad that we had the best guide throughout the trek. We are seasoned hikers that is why we carried our belongings ourselves.
