New death rates are almost 0, and new cases are rare. The Nepal government has removed all the COVID 19 in Nepal protocols for tourists, which is good news for travelers and tourism entrepreneurs. COVID 19 In Nepal Quarantine Update
Quarantine is no longer required for both vaccinated and non-vaccinated tourists. The ministry has removed quarantine requirements for foreigners with COVID-19 vaccination certificates. They will not require a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) report but should bring along a visa approval letter to obtain an on-arrival Visa. Also, they do not need to re-take PCR tests upon arrival and can head to their respective destinations in Nepal.
On arrival visa
Visa-on-arrival has been resumed as usual for both vaccinated and non-vaccinated tourists, i.e., as it was before the pandemic. This means that holders of passports from countries that are eligible for visa-on-arrival will be able to use that facility.
Travelers who are fully vaccinated should carry a certificate of full vaccination against COVID-19 to obtain an arrival visa. No further COVID test is required for fully vaccinated tourists.
For those travelers who are not being fully vaccinated or have not completed a full dose of vaccination at least 14 days before arriving in Nepal, the COVID-19 test report (RT-PCR, Gene Expert, True NAAT, or WHO accredited test) shows negative results within the last 72 hours of boarding from the first airport or if you are entering through the land border, done within 72 hours of entry.
Following are some required documents for prior Visa Approval Letter that travelers must send to their travel agency:
– Copy of traveler’s passport
– Flight itinerary
– Travel Insurance
