Although it was our fifth trek in the Himalayas, going to remote Western Nepal was a little daunting. Thanks to Ganesh organization’s skills, his patience, his courtesy and his caring team we enjoyed immensely the sense of adventure this trek provides, away from the highways of jumbuck or the Annapurnas. The track follows the ancient mule, donkey, and yak track linking Tibet with Nepal. The hamlets we crossed gave us an insight in the way of life of its people unspoilt from mass tourism. The camp was always ready to welcome our weary bodies and the food amazingly varied and good considering it had to be carried with us. One piece of advice : take a face mask to ward some of the dust off when you encounter a yak train. Some high boulders and rocks require complete attention on your footsteps but there is plenty of time to stop, catch your breath and admire the pristine landscape.
We would recommend Glorious Himalayas trekking Company and his team to anyone as well as the kind mules Gurmu, Pandam and brave Sunderli.
